Wire Protection Has Never Been More Important

With almost every element of our modern world increasingly dependent on electrical power, it has never been more important to provide dependable wire protection. Even small, isolated faults can cause significant outages, halting production, reducing connectivity and even putting lives in danger.

The Vidaflex range of braided E-Glass sleeving from Sleeve It, provides a comprehensive choice of styles and specifications that delivers wire protection for all kinds of electrical equipment in all kinds of operating conditions.

Braided E-Glass thermal protection

The braided E-Glass at the heart of the Vidaflex range provides wire protection in even the hottest of environments, such as engine bays, production machinery and server rooms. This is then coated with a choice of outer layers to suit the circumstances of your wiring system across a range of temperatures.

From the continuous operating temperatures of 155°C across the range, to the maximum short term temperature resistance of 600°C of the L124 range and the 450°C of the XGR range, Vidaflex sleeving provides wire protection for every environment. The SIGB 111 has an impressive operating range, covering temperatures from as low as -60°C to a continuous high of 350°C.

Independently tested and certified

All styles of the Vidaflex wire protection range have been thoroughly tested and certified to the relevant international industry standards, and meet the performance levels demanded by the different IEC 60085 thermal classes set by the International Electrotechnical Commission.

The Vidaflex range also includes options that are compliant to the directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) regarding the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

A choice of coatings

The different coatings across the Vidaflex range of wire protection sleeving mean you can specify exactly what you need for your equipment. For example, the acrylic resin coating of the AGS 944 range delivers high abrasion resistance and mechanical strength, while the silicone elastomer coating on the S520 range resists ozone, ultra violet radiation and humidity.

The SIGB 111 range is impregnated with silicone for added temperature resistance, and can withstand up to 400°C for several hours, while the L124 range is uncoated but has been heat processed to caramelise the glass yarn and reduce fraying when cut.

A flexible range of sizes

As well as providing wire protection across a range of different environments, the Vidaflex range can also be specified for a range of different wiring or wire bundle sizes. There are no less than 20 diameter options on the SCGB range, from 1mm to 25mm, 13 diameters on the AGS 944 range, 14 diameters on the SIGB 111 range and 15 diameters on the AGS 942 range.

For complete flexibility in wire protection, you can select the Vidaflex XGR range, which expands up to 300%. Choose from seven sizes ranging from 20mm to 50mm expansion, down to 2mm to 6mm. XGR wire protection is ideal for situations where a fixed bore is not appropriate, such as wiring looms in data centres, electric vehicle wiring and even offshore wind energy applications.

Your wire protection your way

With a comprehensive range of options available in the Vidaflex range, you can choose your wire protection your way from Sleeve It. You can even choose the colour of your wire protection sleeving on selected ranges to make it quicker and easier to identify different cables and wiring groups.
